Kesgrave High School was the venue for the final of the Ipswich and District Badminton League Team Championships for the Playford Trophy, where Meadlands, previous winners on two occasions, played Belstead & Ransomes.

Meadlands defeated Corinthians, Thorpeness and Abbeygate to reach the final and Belstead & Ransomes had victories against YMCA, Felixstowe and Stowmarket in the earlier rounds.

The victory completes a successful season for Belstead & Ransomes with the Menís A  and Ladies teams winning their respective divisions, the Mixed B finishing as Division 4 runners-up and the Mixed A team establishing themselves in Division 1 following promotion last season. The teams were:

BELSTEAD & RANSOMES: Ellie Clough, Rebekah Easy, Vicky Wrycraft, Johnny Hambrook, Jamie Rudland & Ben Williams.
